NBA Playoffs – April 19th, 2022

NBA Playoffs

The Sixers rolled the Raptors last night who looked lifeless without Barnes and Trent. VanVleet even looked hesitant so that series may end early. My NBA playoffs picks are even once again at 3-3.

NBA Playoffs: Grizzlies (-6.5) Vs Timberwolves $

I was on the wrong side of game one in this series. The Wolves shot lights out in the first game by taking advantage of some key mismatches. In particular Steven Adams was exposed as being unable to guard up high. I expect coach Jenkins to come up with a new defensive gameplan that includes much less playing time for Adams.

This is very much a must win game for the Grizzlies as their entire season may depend on them getting it done tonight. I picked Memphis to not only win this series in six, but to win the Western conference as well. Not backing them now would be admitting I was wrong and I am just not there yet. Ja Morant has to come up with an MVP type game and they need a couple of guys like Bane and Brooks to have better shooting nights.

This NBA Playoffs series is shaping up to be a heavyweight slugfest that will be highly entertaining. My money is on Memphis to even it up tonight.
