Best Bet: Raptors (-9) Vs Lakers $$
These two teams played in LA on Monday with the Raptors absolutely thrashing the Lakers at home. The Raptors broke out to an early 30-6 lead and the result was never in question. The final score of 114-103 flattered the Lakers who were never in this game. LeBron James picked up 30 points mostly in garbage time against some of the Raptor’s bench players.
The Raptors have now won 5 consecutive games all on the road and return to Toronto after a long west coast trip. The Raptors are serious contenders in the eastern conference and you can read more about what I think about them in my latest article Toronto Raptors – Contenders or Pretenders?
What can be said about the Lakers other than they are terrible and getting worse. James is listed as questionable for this matchup, but he usually plays anyway. If is actually unable to play tonight, the Lakes are essentially an NBA G League team. They are in serious danger of completely missing out on the play-in tournament.
I see no reason why this game should be competitive. Perhaps LA can still find a back door cover if the make another 4th quarter surge against the backups. That may be the best case scenario of the Lakers tonight. (-9) point is still a big line to cover, but I see no reason why Toronto shouldn’t find an easy win here.
