Best Bet: 76ers (-1.5) Vs Nuggets $$

The Sixers are 6-1 since acquiring James Harden from the Nets. They should be a better team after that trade because it was essentially Harden for Seth Curry. While I do like Seth, James is a nice upgrade. I do not even consider Ben Simmons in this trade because he wasn’t even playing (and still isn’t) and frankly he was terrible in the playoffs last year anyway.

Philadelphia was embarrassed by Kevin Durant and the Nets recently at home with Ben sitting on the visitor’s bench. The loss stoked the fire of all the Sixer’s doubters and rightly so. The Sixers should not be considered favourites to win the title, at least not until they can prove they can win the big games. They followed that game up with a lacklustre OT win over the Magic.

Tonight the Sixers welcome Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets into town. Denver played badly in their last game against Toronto giving up way too many turnovers and offensive rebounds. I do not see Denver as a serious contender in the west and I expect them to get run down by the Timber Wolves for the last playoff spot before the season wraps up.

I got this line at (-1.5) for the Sixers, but I am already seeing it move higher. I would still be a buyer at (-2) or even (-3), but shop around for the best price. Philadelphia is the better team playing at home so I was surprised to see this line so low. It is an easy best bet.
