NBA: Pistons (+4.5) Vs Clippers $$
The Pistons have won 6 of 10 games despite losing their last two against. tough playoff teams (CHI & BOS). Detroit has been very competitive since the break and is looking to build its foundation for a better season next year. The Pistons have a lot of young talent led by a rookie of the year candidate Cade Cunningham. The line maker is offering too much value on the Pistons presently and I am going to continue taking it.
The Clippers meanwhile are still hanging around the (.500) mark and a play-in spot in the western conference that is soft in the middle of the pack. LA has obviously been without their best players (Leonard and George) for an extended period now. But now they have also lost Norman Powell whom they had high hopes would lead this team into the playoffs. They also gave up a lot of bench depth just to get Powell in the first place. The Clippers are a gritty and well-coached team, but I do not expect much from them the rest of this season.
I am not convinced the Clippers are even the better team in this matchup so offering up (+4.5) at home is too much value to pass up. This game is an early afternoon start and the reason I can release this best bet of the day with the rest of my free plays.
NBA: Celtics (-7.5) Vs Mavericks $
No team in the NBA is playing better than the Boston Celtics right now. They are winners of 16 of their last 18 games and have been smothering opposing shooters with team defence. This is a big line against good opposition in the Mavericks, but there is no team the Celtics fear at the moment. They should pick up this win and get this cover a good percentage of the time.
The Mavericks have a couple of key players out or listed as questionable for this matchup including Brunson and Bullock. While Doncic is clearly a dominant player, the Maverick’s lack of all their available options will allow the Celtics to key in on containing him.
