The Lakers practice squad did not disappoint us on Tuesday in Dallas falling behind by 30 in the first half. My best bets improved to 25-12 (67.6%) on the season.
Best Bet: Pistons (+9.5) Vs 76ers $$
The Pistons have shut down Jerami Grant for the rest of the season with a calf strain. Detroit will miss their leading scorer but the team should still be competitive without him.
No team in the NBA is hotter than the Pistons right now when looking at their ATS results. They still have difficulties getting SU wins, but are very good at keeping games close even against top-quality opposition. This sets up an ideal situation for them tonight playing at home against a high-profile team in the Sixers. They may not win this game, but I expect it to be close and I love getting the big points.
Philadelphia is still a quality team, but I am not convinced they should be considered elite. James Harden may be the most over-rated player in the NBA right now. While his game is still good, it is starting to decline and his attitude is questionable. If James spent as much time working on his defence as he does attempting to draw fouls and complaining to the referees, he would be NBA all defence team.
This season could easily end in disappointment again for the Sixers. I would make them underdogs in the first round against both Boston and Toronto, but it is still unclear who they will face. Philadephia should win a close game in Detroit tonight.
