NBA Best Bet – March 28th, 2022

Best Bet

The Pelicans made a dramatic comeback last against the Lakers. I switched this game in the second quarter only to see the highlights later for the surprise win and cover. My NBA Best Bets are now 24-12 (66.7%) for the season.

Best Bet: Hornets (+4) Vs Nuggets $$

The Hornets picked up a very nice win last to spoil Kyrie Irving’s home debut last night. The win moved Charolette ahead of Brooklyn in the standings into the 8th spot.

For some reason I cannot explain, the line maker continues to over-rate the Nuggets. They are a solid team with an MVP calibre star in Nikola Jokic. But let’s be honest, the Nuggets really aren’t anything much better than average. Yet they continue to be valued as if they are genuine NBA finals contenders. While they do have a winning record at 44-31, their record ATS is a disappointing 34-41.

The Hornets are a streaky team but do have a lot of talent on their roster. Giving them points at home should only be justified when playing elite-level teams, which I would not consider the Nuggets to be. This line at most should be a pick’em, so I’m happy taking the home dogs in this matchup.
