The Pistons lost again as home favourites last night dropping my Best Bet record to 22-12. Detroit seems to only be profitable when getting points and not laying.
Best Bet: Grizzlies (-1.5) vs Bucks $$
The Grizzlies booked another nice win on Thursday against the Nets without Ja Morant. The victory improved their team record without their superstar to 15-2. Despite having the second-best record in the NBA, the Grizzlies are still undervalued.
While this line has clearly been adjusted downwards due to Morant’s absence, it is the injuries on the visitors’ bench that are more concerning. Jrue Holiday is out for this matchup while Giannis is listed as questionable. The Bucks simply do not have the same bench depth that Memphis enjoys. Milwaukee may be forced to rely on the likes of George Hill, Wesley Mathews, and Serge Ibaka to play significant minutes tonight. That lineup simply does not match up with the talented and youthful players the Grizzlies have on their bench.
The Grizzlies look destined to at least make an appearance in the western conference finals this year. Too many people are still in denial as to how good this team really is. Do not make the mistake to think that because they are facing the defending champs tonight without their best player that they cannot win. Memphis is still the better team playing at home and this line should be higher.
