The Grizzlies got a nice win over the Nets on Wednesday without Ja Morant. The win improved my best bet record for the season to 22-11 (66.7%).
Best Bet: Pistons (-3.5) Vs Wizards $$
I have been eyeing this matchup for several days already knowing it would find its way into my best bets.
The Pistons have been playing respectable basketball for several weeks. While they may not always get victories, nearly all of their games have been competitive. As a result, Detroit has been destroying point spreads. They even had a 20 point victory over the Hawks in their game. Playing as favourites is a new role for the Pistons and this is my only real concern for the matchup.
The Wizards are doing the exact opposite and have not even been competitive recently. They have only one win in their last nine games and that was against the Lakers who failed to even show up. Team management has completely given up on this year’s version of the team. They seem content at this point to simply get the best draft pick possible for next season. The chemistry on this team is terrible and certainly did not get better with the addition of Porzingis.
The Pistons are clearly the better team in this matchup and should get a solid win tonight.
