Best Bet: Pistons (+13) @ Heat $$
The Pistons have not lost a game ATS since February 14th in Washington. That is a span of 11 straight games. There were a couple of pushes in that run depending on which line you use. Regardless that is a truly remarkable streak of which you can goes entire NBA seasons without witnessing. Despite that this incredible run, the line maker continues to post these huge lines in favour of the Pistons.
Yes, the Heat are the number one team in the eastern conference right now, but this is just too many points fo me to pass up. I see this matchup falling within the (+13) spread a high percentage of the time.
I like the Heat and the way the are currently playing, but I am not convinced they should b considered top contenders in the east. Perhaps my biggest criticism for Miami is they are perhaps too well balanced. You can only ever play 5 guys at a time so having quality players 8 through 12 isn’t always helpful. They are blessed with an incredibly deep bench but perhaps do not have enough elite talent in the starting lineup. The obvious is Jimmy Butler, but he too has not been shooting well from mid-range and good defences are starting to exploit this. Becausee of this, they may have difficulty in the playoffs with teams like Boston and Toronto.
