The Pistons did not disappoint last night. Not only did they get the cover, but they pulled off the SU win against the Sixer as (+9.5) underdogs. My analysis of James Harden as over-rated rang true last night as he came up ice cold in the second half. My best bets improved to 26-12 (68.4%) on the season.
Best Bet: Pelicans (-2) @ Lakers $$
I am going to just keep pounding on the Lakers. As much the media loves to rip apart the Lakers, they are still worse than most of the public realizes.
LeBron James and Anthony are both expected to be in the lineup tonight for what is essentially a playoff game. More accurately, it is an elimination game for the play-in tournament. If the Lakers lose tonight, their season is essentially over. That is the only reason the two stars for LA will be on the court tonight, otherwise, both would likely still be out. It remains to be seen if either of them can be effective tonight against a quality Pelicans team. If James and Davis were still out, this line would likely be six or seven points for New Orleans.
The Pelicans are healthy and starting to gel. Their 20 point comeback win against this same Lakers team earlier this week should fill them with much-needed confidence. With their starting lineup now healthy and playing well, I expect the Pelicans to get the critical win against their dysfunctional big brother.
