Best Bet: Hawks (-2) Vs Cavaliers $$
The Hawks head to Cleveland in this elimination game for the opportunity to play Miami in the first round. Trae Young easily dispatched the Hornets on Wednesday 132-103. Of note in that was Clint Capella pulling down 17 rebounds in that game against Charlotte. That is significant in this matchup against the Cavs who are still without their star center Jarret Allen.
Cleveland still has two quality big men in Evan Mobley and Kevin Love, but they have struggled badly without Allen in the lineup. The Cavs are just 3-7 since his injury which included a 26-point loss in Atlanta. This team is not as dominant as they were mid-season because teams have adjusted to their unique style of defence.
I see Trae Young going off in this game and hitting several of those patterned running floaters over Mobely he loves so much. The Hawks finally look like the playoff team we saw last year take out the Sixers in the second round. Their playoff experience should play a big role in this winner take all game against the young and inexperienced Cavaliers.
