NFL: Redskins (+4.5) Vs Cowboys $
The ‘Team’ is playing excellent football right now and are winners of four straight games. What has been most impressive is the way they are doing it. Washington is dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and had a rushing advantage in each of their last six games. That takes a tremendous amount of pressure off of Taylor Heinicke allowing him to just manage the game with his accurate short and medium length passes.
The Cowboys are a solid playoff team but you get the impression they are always playing with dynamite in their back pocket. There is always a chance the Boys will implode and give away games as they did against the Raiders. The key to this game is the Cowboy pass protection. If Dak has adequate time, the Cowboys should pick up a win. If the Redskins can get pressure on Dak and get some sacks or even a couple of turnovers, they can easily win this game.
I expect a close game that could go either way so I’ll take the points on the home team.
NFL: Buccaneers (-3.5) Vs Bills $
What an absolutely embarrassing loss the for the Bills last week against the Patriots. Zac Jones made just 3 pass attempts for 19 yards while handing the ball off 46 times for 222. It was the fewest pass attempts by any team in the modern era of the NFL. The Bills defence knew they were going to run the ball on every play and they still failed to stuff the attack. How are they going to adjust this week against the most prolific QB in the history of the NFL?
Tom Brady is the goat and can pretty much pass for 300 yards against any defence, if need be. But what makes this matchup different is when the Buccaneers need to run the ball on third and short or at the goal line, they should find success. That is a recipe for a 5 TD day for Brady and the Bucs.
The Bills have looked dominant at times this season, but do seem to be regressing a bit as the season progresses. I am just not convinced the Bills are an elite team that can get a win on the road against quality opposition. Tampa Bay looks the opposite as they are showing steady improvement and are setting up for another Super Bowl run.
