NFL: Cowboys (-9) Vs Falcons $
The Cowboys got trounced last week at home against the Broncos. I like betting good teams after a bad loss as they usually respond with a more focused effort the following week. In fact, it is a mark of a championship caliber team to be able to do just this. Are the Cowboys serious contenders this year, or will they fade down the stretch and in the playoffs as we have become accustom to seeing them do. Watch this week to see if they can blow out the Falcons.
Falcons got seriously lucky beating the Saints last week. This team is 4-4, but I do not like them at all. They should fade in the second half of the season and quickly fall out of playoff contention.
NFL: Jaguars (+10.5) @ Colts $
Ok I’m ready to buy in on the Jags after beating a top quality team last week in the Bills. The defence played exceptionally well in that game holding the high powered Bills offence to just 6 points. The offence lead by Trevor Lawrence, still has a lot of growing pains but should continue to improve albeit slowly. I think there is value to be had on the Jaguars at this point in the season.
The Colts are average at best. I don’t know about Carson Wentz as he is just too inconsistent and is prone to bad decisions making. The defence is not as good as it was last year either and their chances of making the playoffs are fading fast. A loss to the Jags in either of their scheduled games could be a death blow to their season.
I would not have made this line more than a touchdown so I am happy taking (+10.5).
NFL: Broncos (-2.5) Vs Eagles $$
I have to admit to being wrong about the Broncos on a couple of picks already this season. But this team team boasts a top 5 defence and pretty average conservation offence. That is actually a decent recipe for making the playoffs in today’s NFL.
The key to beating the feisty Eagles is of course containing Jalen Hurts. Denver has just the type of defence that can do just that. Broncos should effectively bring enough pressure to have Hurts scrambling for his life out of the pocket or being sacked.
I was surprised t see this line under (-3). I foresee a solid two score victory for the Broncos in a low scoring game something like 23-13. It is my favourite play of the week in the NFL and my only selection in the afternoon games.
