NFL: Saints (+6) Vs Cowboys $
Home dogs in prime time do well historically and make up a good chunk of my NFL betting diet. I was surprised to see some 6’s coming up so I will be pulling the trigger on this game as there is certainly some value on the Saints in this spot.
I still like the Cowboys, but boy did they ever blow that game on Sunday against the Raiders. No way should they have lost that game. The team was crushed by penalties and also some bad bounces. They had 7 pass interference penalties including the dagger that set up the game winning field goal in OT.
How does this team now bounce back after such a demoralizing defeat? It could be an indication on how they may respond in the playoffs as well. A solid win here and would feel more confident about their chances of winning a playoff game or even maybe two. But the Cowboys just are prone to making bone head mistakes so I cannot back them as big road favourites. Head coach Mike McCarthy is also out for this game with the flu on a short week.
The Saints are a solid team are fully capable of pulling off an upset, especially at home. Six points is just too many points to pass up in this spot.
Make sure you are checking back to my Daily Picks page for all my free picks. I will have a couple more NCAAF selections coming up for the conference championships and bowls, but as the college football winds down I will be transitioning into NBA over the next couple of weeks.
