NFL: Chargers (-3) Vs Raiders $

Justin Hebert looks to improve on his rookie of the year season last year and lead the Charger back to the playoffs for the first time since 2018. His numbers are down just slightly this season but the Chargers have faced a difficult schedule to start the year with a close defeat against the surging Cowboys and a huge win last week in KC. I sense this team is ready to break out into the next tier of NFL teams and they will start by taking care of their hated rivals from LA, ah I mean Vegas.

Derrick Carr has been great so far this year leading the NFL in passing yards after three weeks. High passing yards is not always a good thing as it is often an indication that the team has difficulties running the ball and rushing yards are a far better predictor of team success than passing.

The Raiders have relied heavily on the passing game to win their first three games because they haven’t been able to run effectively. The biggest potential in the the Chargers defence is actually their run defence, so I not sure if LV will be able capitalize on that weakness.

Strength of schedule favours the Chargers through three week as LV needed OT to pull off two of their three wins against weaker opposition. Betting the home team on Monday night is always my preferred lean as well, so I will definitely be on the Chargers in this one.

Another winning week in both NFL and NCAAF as I am now 22-15 (59.5%) in BOTH the pros and college picks. Make sure you check both to my Daily Picks page for all my football selections every week for free.
