NFL: Giants (+11) @ Buccaneers $
Tom Brady looked a mere mortal throwing 2 INTs in each of his last two games. If he continues that trend the remainder of the season, the Buccaneers will miss the playoffs. This is a big number (-11) even for a Monday night home team. I don’t see how such a big is justified for a team on a two game skid. The Buccaneers are not as good as they were last year and dare I say they may be getting old.
I am still of the opinion that Daniel Jones is under-rated, or at least overly criticized. His play is improving and the turnovers are down this season. In a pinch, he is also decent runner. He’ll never be Tom Brady, but I don’t think even Tom is playing like Tom Brady this year.
I would have made this line around (-7) or maybe (-7.5). TB is still the better team, but the back door cover is in play here with a Giants team that has big play potential and are looking better as the season progresses.
It was a tough weekend card, but I am still above water for the season at 47-45 (51.1%) ATS in the NFL. But I crushed the NCAAF card again this week for 20-9 and I am now 119-69 (63.3%) and +40.2 units for the season.
