NFL: Ravens (-6.5) Vs Bengals $
My power ratings do not agree with this selection and say these two teams are actually closer in strength than they appear, but my intuition tells me otherwise. The Ravens look as if they are getting their shit together and are about to go on a roll that may last the rest of the season. We all know how good the Raven’s run game is, but now Lamar is throwing down field as well. The biggest problem the AFC is going to have the rest of this season may actually be dealing with the Raven’s defence which looks like it is about to hit playoff form.
Baltimore completely dismantled an excellent Charger team last week and Bengals are not nearly as good as the Chargers. I like Joe Burrow the Bengals, but they are overmatched in this game and I don’t feel they have a reasonable chance to win SU, so I simply cannot take them with the points either.
NFL: Falcons (-2) @ Dolphins $
I flip-flopped on this game a couple of times already. Ultimately I decided I could not back the Dolphins who are last in NFL in rushing yards and have questionable leadership at QB. The schedule here also heavily favours Atlanta who come off a bye against a team that played in another continent last week.
My biggest concern about this pick is that Tua may have a big to bite back against the multitude of criticisms and trade rumours currently circulating in the media. Or maybe he will just have another bad game and he is “who they say he is”. The Falcons are not a good team but I like them better than the Dolphins right now. At least last year the Dolphins were getting turnovers and playing good defence, neither is true this year.
