NFL: Patriots (+3) @ Bills $

This looks like one of the most exciting and important games of the season in the AFC and the winner will have the inside path to the AFC east title.

The Bills started the season hot and spent several weeks at the top of my. power rankings. But the Bills have struggled with consistently of late and are 3-3 in they last 6 games. This stretch included a loss tot he Jags and a blowout loss to the Colts. One week they look like Super Bowl contenders and the next they are not even a playoff team. This is not the type of team I want to put my money on in big games.

The Patriots in contrast have won 6 games in a row and have vaulted all the way to the top of my power ratings. Mac Jones is blossoming and into the top of the rookie QBs class this season. This team is now molding into a classic Bill Belichick team and look poised to roll into the playoffs and may even pick up a bye week.

This should be a great game and really could go either way. But I like taking the free field goal and the more consistent, better coached team.
