Free NCAAF Picks – Morning Week 13

NCAAF

NCAAF: Baylor (-14.5) Vs Texas Tech $$

This is my third consecutive week betting against the Red Raiders. It really isn’t anything personal, but this is a particularly difficult stretch of their schedule playing four quality teams in as many weeks. They did manage to pull an upset over Iowa St, but it looked like the gas tank was empty last week against Oklahoma St as they failed to score. This team is likely beaten down both physically and emotionally at the of the season and I am not convinced they will be motivated enough to cover this line.

Baylor is another run dominant team that brutalizes the line of scrimmage which also plays into the Texas Tech weakness of run defence. The Bears should easily rack up 300+ rushing yards in this matchup. The key to getting the cover however, will be holding the Red Raiders under 20 points, which I think they will do. 35-13 seems a reasonable score for this game.

NCAAF: Duke (+21.5) Vs Miami $

When did the Hurricanes become a dominant Top 10 team good enough to lay more than three touchdowns on the road inter-conference? Yes they had a nice little run here winning 3/4 games (two against ranked opponents), but this line is stretched too far. This really is just a garbage game for Miami as their win last week gave the Bowl eligibility. I’m also not willing to forget how bad this team was early in the season and there is always a chance for a relapse.

I know Blue Devils aren’t a good team, but they should cover three touchdowns at home.

NCAAF: Ohio St (-8) @ Michigan $

This is the marquee matchup of the weekend and I usually give out a pick on these games. The winner of this matchup only needs to win the Big 10 Championship game against Iowa or Wisconsin to guarantee themselves a coveted playoff spot.

The Buckeyes absolutely annihilated the Spartans last week in what was simply the biggest blowout I logged this entire NCAAF season. The game was 49-0 at half time and really it looked like the Akron Zips showed up in place of the Spartans (I’ll have more to say about Mich St in my late post). I cannot imagine what type of mamoth defensive effort would be required to stop Ohio St and CJ Stroud playing as well as they right now.

I have nothing bad to say about Michigan. They are a legitimate Top 10 team. But I cannot bet against Ohio St as I suspect only Georgia could beat them right now. The Wolverines have had an excellent season, but I fear it will end in disappointment once again at the hands of their hated rivals from Columbus.

I had another massive week in NCAAF going 20-9 last week including 3-0 on my premium picks which are 12-2 now for the season. I am now 119-69 (63.3%), +40.2 units. Make sure to check my Daily Picks page regularly to get the rest free NCAAF & NFL picks for the week.
