I got a last-second back door cover with the Pistons yesterday at (+4.5) improving my NBA Best Bet record to 19-8 (70.4%) for the season. NBA: Jazz (+1.5) Vs Bucks $

This is a premier matchup featuring the defending champs against a consistently dominant regular-season team in the Jazz. Brook Lopez is set to make his return to the lineup for the Bucks after playing only one game this season on opening night. I don’t expect much from Brook in this matchup, but it is a good sign for the Bucks as he was a key ingredient in Milwaukee’s Championship run last season.

But the key to this game could very well be the health of Rudy Gobert who is listed as questionable for tonight. I do expect Rudy to play in such an important matchup, but it may be prudent to wait until closer to game time to make sure he is in the starting lineup. The Jazz simply are not the same team without him and they will need him tonight to slow down Giannis and matchup against Lopez.

Utah is always a tough place for visiting teams so it is rare to see the Jazz as home dogs. There should be good value here on the Jazz.

NBA: Raptors (-4) @ Lakers $

The Lakers are just bad. They gave up 48 points in the first quarter alone to the Suns last night and trailed by 26 after just one quarter. The Suns showed mercy the rest of the way playing mostly their backups and Chris Paul did not even play. If this was a little league baseball game, it would have been called early. It seems the only way the Lakers can compete right now is if Lebron can jack up 50 points, and that just isn’t going to happen regularly.

Tonight the Lakers travel back home to face the team who just beat the very same Suns a few nights ago. The Raptors are playing incredibly well pounding the Nuggets and Jokic on the offensive glass in the last game in Denver. My only concern is the health of Fred VanVleet who is listed as questionable for this matchup otherwise this would be a Best Bet. But even with Fred out of the lineup, they are still finding ways to win.

It is hard to find any two teams heading in polar opposite directions right now.
