NBA: Mavericks (-3.5) Vs Nuggets $
The Mavericks should be back to full strength after dealing with multiple absences over the past couple weeks. Luka Doncic seems to be back to his old self after narrowly missing a triple double in the Mavericks solid win last night in OKC.With the team settling back to normal, I expect the Mavs to slowly move up the standings and back into a playoff spot and ahead of the Lakers and Nuggets.
The Nuggets are without two starters tonight, Morris and Green. Jokic is obviously solid at center, but the Nuggets are not as deep as the Mavs. It will be very important for this team to stay healthy in order to remain in playoff contention. They were already without Jamal Murray and Porter Jr, so any more major absences could be severely problematic for the Nuggets.
NBA: Hornets (+2) @ Wizards $
I picked the Hornets last night against the Suns and they got demolished by 34. It was a demoralizing loss for Charlotte and seeing how they respond could be a litmus test for the rest of their season. I would expect a good team to respond with a better effort the following night so I am willing to back them again. But if they come back with another poor game tonight, I will need to re-examine my opinion of this team.
The Wizards will be shorthanded tonight as well with Dinwiddie and five bench players. After a hot start, I am bearish on the Wizards for the remainder of the season and I don’t feel they should be favourites in this spot against a better Hornets team.
It has been a red hot 16-9 start for my NBA picks this season. Be sure to check back to my Daily Picks page regularly for all my NBA/NFL picks posted every day for free.
