NBA: 76ers (-2.5) Vs Lakers $
The Lakers welcomed back Anthony Davis in their last game, a win in Brooklyn. He had 8 points, just 2 boards but 4 blocks in 25 minutes played. It was an ok start fro AD, but let’s assume he needs a couple more games to get to 100%.
The 76ers welcomed back a valuable piece in their last game, Matisse Thybulle. Matisse had only 3 points in 33 minutes played, but his contribution is usually more on the defensive end guarding the opposition’s top scorers. Embiid has been playing great lately and is now making an argument for an MVP trophy. Hopefully the team can pull the trigger on the Simmons trade before the deadline and add another shooter for the playoffs.
Overall I still think the 76ers are a better team than the Lakers and they should get a victory in this matchup. The (-2.5) point line seems a little light to me for a Sixers home game.
NBA: Timber Wolves (+6) @ Warriors $
I am going to ride the Wolves again tonight as they are playing well and I still feel their is value to be found on this young team. Their starting lineup is stacked and deep. If they can remain healthy, they can cover up their biggest weakness which is their bench depth. This is good test for Minnesota tonight and expect to see a close game.
The Warriors have cooled off since their hot streak early in the season. Obviously they are still missing Draymond Green, who is the heart of this team. Curry is on a bit of a cold streak recently but still playing well enough most nights. The addition of Klay Thompson is an interesting dynamic. Klay has not yet returned to sharp shooting self and is still on a minutes cap. It is hard to guess if he will return to his old form, but for now he is not an impact player.
Six points is too many to offer in this matchup so I’ll take the upstart Wolves.
