NBA: Hawks (-2.5) Vs Knicks $
The Knicks added Cam Reddish recently fuelling speculation they will attempt to bring in Zion for next season to complete the Duke reunion. While Cam may add some much need life into the Knicks, he is now out with an ankle injury.
The Hawks are finally looking healthy with only Capela listed as questionable for this matchup. With all hands on deck, I expect the Hawks to start moving back up the standings for another playoff run. This is essentially the same team that beat the Knicks and 76ers in the playoffs last spring, so I see no real reason why they should be now 7 games under (.500).
I definitely feel the Hawks are still the better side here so laying only (-2.5) points at home seems like good value to me against the offensively challenged Knicks.
NBA: Spurs (-2.5) Vs Clippers $
Dejounte Murray has been quietly playing terrific ball as his Spurs are mired in a terrible losing streak that now stands at five in a row and 9 of 10. Dejounte came 2 assists short of a triple double last night in the Spurs with 30 points and 14 boards.
Last night’s loss was a tight contest that went against the Spurs in the final few possessions. The Spurs are a talented young team that are struggling to find their finishing form. But I feel they should have more wins than they currently do and they should start turning things around. This should be a play-in team but they are going to need to find ways to win close games to make that happen.
The Clippers are bottom five in points in NBA scoring and have been struggling even more lately with the absence of their intern leader Paul George. The Clippers had just 28 points at half time in their recent game in DEN, a game which they actually went on to win. So I feel the Clippers are quite fortunate to still be just one game under (.500).
The Spurs should rebound after their tough loss last night and get back into the win column tonight.
