NBA: Bulls (-3.5) Vs Warriors $
The Warriors were annihilated in Milwaukee last night. The final score says the Bucks won by 19 points, but the game was over in the second quarter with the score at 60-30. Milwaukee coasted the rest of the way allowing the Warriors to make it almost respectable in the end. But Giannis had a 30 point triple double in just 30 minutes and dominated the game at both ends and running the floor.
The point to all this is the Warriors just are not as good as their 30-11 record would suggest. As a result the corresponding lines associated with them are still inflated. I still think they will be a solid playoff team, but I am not yet convinced they should be considered a leading contender to win the championship.
Steph has been in a shooting slump for a few weeks now and is looking plain good instead of spectacular. Draymond remains on the sideline with a calf injury while Klay is out tonight as he is scheduled to rest back to backs. Their scheduled does not get much easier tonight as they travel I-94 to Chicago to face the surging Bulls.
It is hard to make any criticisms of the Bulls right now as they are playing great ball. But they did get schooled by KD and Harden a couple nights ago so I expect them to rebound with a stronger game tonight and get the win in this matchup.
NBA: Grizzlies (-2) Vs Mavericks $
The Grizzlies pulled off another impressive win last night against the Wolves pulling away in the final two minutes to get the win and cover. The Grizzlies are the hottest team in the NBA right now winning 11 straight games and they are doing it in clutch time. Despite that, they are still being disrespected by the line maker and are laying only 2 points at home tonight.
Their opponents tonight are Luka and the Mavericks who are also playing pretty good ball. But with Porzingis still in quarantine, I want to wait for his release until I start playing the Mavericks again. This should be another tight game tonight but I am likely just going to keep riding the Grizzlies until they lose two games out of three, which may be a while.
