NBA: Warriors (-3.5) Vs Mavericks $$
This is a macthup a two teams slated for the playoffs and is potentially a first round matchup. Both these team play sound defensively minded basketball that make them dangerous playoff teams.
However, I still see the Mavericks as a tier below the Warriors who just have more depth in their lineup. Golden State continues to playing well to win games despite some very unfortunate injuries. The team is still missing Draymond Green but he is expected to return before the playoffs. Klay Thompson’s return after more than two years away and is looking better every game, but he is listed as questionable for this games.
The Warriors are eagerly anticipating the return of James Wiseman. The #2 overall pick from two years could add another dangerous weapon for the Warriors as they enter the stretch run and playoffs. The health of the Warriors is likely to dictate if they can make a return to the NBA Championship.
Golden State should be the better team in this matchup and the (-3.5) seems a little light to me.
NBA: Trail Blazers (+8) Vs Nuggets $
The Nuggets are a team that I just cannot seem to get right. Obviously Nikola Jokic is a dominant player, but the rest of this team is quite mediocre. Frankly I do not see how they continue to win consistently. Tonight they a laying a big line on the road in Portland.
The Trail Blazer are having a terrible year with injuries and a couple questionable trades. Despite this, the team remains fiesty in my view. This huge line for this matchup seems inflated and I don’t feel it is justified. I’ll take take the big home dogs here and hope for the best.
