NBA: Hornets (+2.5) Vs Bulls $
What has happened to the Chicago Bulls show lately? In fairness, it is actually turned into the DeMar DeRozan show. DeMar continues to play out of his mind and is fully deserving of his starting nomination for the East at the NBA All-Star game. The problem the Bulls are having is this is quickly turning into just a one-man show.
Zach LaVine is still playing well but has struggled with injuries of late and his production has slumped. People seem to underestimate the positive impact Alex Caruso had on this team and his prolonged absence is now revealing itself. Ayo Dosunmu is having a stellar and somewhat unexpected rookie campaign, but he too is now injured. The Bulls no have just 7 wins in their last 18 outings and currently seem only able to beat sub (.500) teams.
Tonight the Bulls travel to Charlotte to face LaMelo Ball and the talented Hornets. The Hornets continue to hover around the (.500) mark and look once again destined for the play-in tournament. It seems unlikely they will ever break out of mediocrity unless they can play better in the backcourt. But this game looks destined to be a shoot-out that actually plays in the Hornets favour, particularly at home.
I’ll take a chance on the Hornets as home dogs in this matchup against the struggling and short-handed Bulls.
