NBA: Grizzlies (-5) Vs Blazers $
The Memphis Grizzlies are 10-1 since Ja Morant went down with a knee injury. Ja entered his fourth season seemingly poised to enter the NBA’s superstar status. Yet the Grizzlies look dominant even without him in the lineup. How exactly are they doing it?
The short answer is bench depth and team defence. The Grizzlies bench ridiculously outscored the entire Thunder team recently 93-79 which was ultimately an NBA record 73-point victory. The Memphis bench players are so good, that they each could start for a dozen other teams. What that means is the team can easily absurd the loss of one player, even a star such as Morant. They are actually even better defensively without Ja in the lineup.
The Grizzlies are building for a deep playoff run this season and the line maker is still offering value on them, at least for the time being. By the end of the season, this line maybe 10 or 12 points.
The Blazers are playing uninspired ball right now and it looks unlucky they will be seeing any playoff action this year. I’ll take the red hot team laying only the 5 points.
I looking forward to another great NBA season after going 164-100 (62.1%) last year. Be sure to check my Daily Picks for all my Free Picks this season.
