MLB: Rays Rasmussen (-105) @ Red Sox Rodriguez $

I am just going to keep rolling with the TB Rays as it seems they have been my daily pick for a couple weeks now. They are clearly the best team in the AL and possibly even MLB. The Red Sox in contrast are just hanging on and are now only 3 games ahead of the surging Blue Jays in the wild card race. I get the the sense they are starting to feel the mounting pressure.

The two starters today are both performing well and really there is little to choose between them. However, the Rays have a massive advantage in the hitting department and continue putting up big run totals. They also have a big edge in the bullpen which makes me question this line. Tampa Bay should be big favourites here even in Boston and I will make this another premium play on my currently favourite team.

MLB: Royals Kowar (-110) @ Orioles Means $

Two bad starters facing off in this matchup so it is a bit of a crap shoot as to which one of them will pitch worse tonight. But the Royals certainly have the better bats in this one so I will give them the edge.

The Orioles are an amazing 50 games below .500 and a horrific 19-45 at home this season. They may be the worst team we have seen in a few seasons and frankly I will take any opportunity I can get to fade them at such a short (almost pick’em) price.
