NBA: Pistons (+7.5 ) Vs Hawks $$

I will continue to back the Pistons for the near future as they show signs of improvement. Detroit has won 5 of the last 7 including two in a row. This is a dramatic improvement over what they showed earlier in the season. Cade Cunningham is now living up billing as the #1 pick overall and is short-listed for rookie of the year. For a team that is suddenly competitive even against better teams, seeing big lines in their favour is a gift.

The Hawks are an average to a decent team, but that does not justify them laying so many points on the road. This should be a competitive game so I’ll take the big home dogs for a double play.

NBA: Nuggets (-8) Vs Warriors $

The Warriors are in full load management mode for this matchup with several starters expected to take the night off. Curry, Thompson, Wiggins are all out for rest tonight. How can I back a team whose primary goal is not winning? The Warriors have not been playing well recently even with all their starters available so I do not expect them to be better without them.

The Nuggets meanwhile, have been playing surprisingly well winning 8 of their past 10. Honestly, I did not expect that from Denver coming down the stretch, but they proved me wrong. This is an opportunity for the Nuggets to get an easy home win against a team ahead of them in the standings. I expect them to do just that in what could be a blowout.

NBA: Kings (-3.5) Vs Knicks $

The Knicks pulled off a big upset in LA last night beating the Clippers. Their good performance was contrary to their recent form after losing 7 in a row before that. Tonight they travel north to Sacramento without. any rest. The Knicks are still a bad team and I just do not think they can do it two nights in a row.

The Kings haven’t been lighting it up recently either, but I still feel they are the better team in this matchup. This sets up as a favourable scheduling opportunity for Sacramento who had the day off yesterday at home while the Knicks were travelling. The Kings should pick up this win tonight.
