NBA: Suns (-7) @ Lakers $$
Yes that is right. The Lakers are 7 point home dogs and I am picking against them.
The Lakers are once again in a state of complete and total chaos. Anthony Davis is out again for multiple weeks with a knee injury. But that isn’t even the bad news for this matchup. The Lakers are decimated with 6 players, including three starters currently in quarantine. The Achilles heel for this team has always been their depth and I don’t see how they can possibly overcome this kind of trauma.
LBJ and Westbrook are two of the best passers in the NBA. But who are they going to pass the ball to? They will be relying heavily on both Rajon Rondo and Carmelo Anthony for this matchup, but both of these guys are far past their prime. They essentially have no bench for this game and frankly I am little surprised this game is being allowed to be played.
To make matters worse, their opponents tonight are the red hot Suns who are sporting the same lineup that beat them in the playoffs last year and got them within 2 games of a NBA championship. Chris Paul and gang will not have any sympathy for the short handed Lakers and will take opportunity to punch their rivals from LA in the mouth.
This is a big line but really the Lakers have little chance of winning the game and it should not be competitive.
